AMD FX-8150: is it a good processor for gaming?

    hi,

i'm going to buy a new pc... Is the AMD FX-8150 a good CPU for gaming?

i am unable to decide which pc is better for me... I'll play games on a fullHD screen and i'm looking for ultra graphics without lags...

    PC AMD FX-8150 (8core)/GTX 690 4Gb/RAM 16Gb/HD 2Tb/ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 (FX-8150 + GTX 690) €1710,00

    PC CORE i7 3770K/GTX 690 4Gb/RAM 32Gb/HD 2Tb/Wi-Fi/ASUS P8Z77-V (i7 3770k + GTX 690) €1980,00

(if the GTX 690 is too powerful for these CPUs, i can consider to buy one with GTX 680 or HD 7970 for €500 less)

8150 is great CPU i use 8120 not much of a differnce between the two they clock about the same with in each other 150 mhz or so

Anyhow you won't have any issue which ever you choose

Any Cpu you listed will not bottleneck with any of those Gpu's if you were running anything less like a dual core or dual core athlon then you would be in trouble other then that you should be good and gtx690 is kinda a waste but im not saying it because of the brand im just saying because you can get the 680 670 even 660ti hd7970 7870 and will still compete

It will never get a good Rep because most Intel fan boys walked all over it because it doesn't match up to what they are using

Keep in mind this is a new Tech and with this will come testing periods and applications that will suit this type of tech right now most of everything is geared toward Intel performance Benchmarks and apps appeal to the intel core series

When the new apps start rolling in that uses more multithreading and multi core more then just 2 or 4 cores then you will possibly see why it was hyped up

Thus far i don't have any complaints on my end I'm even considering picking up a pile driver chip when they are made available AM3+ compadible as well
