    Steam Save Location

    Hi Guys,

I have only just recently started using steam so am kinda new to it, and my dilema is i have a 60gb SSD where i have my OS and games installed on, however i have nearly run out of space and can't install any new games till there is space, but i want to keep my games installed on the SSD as they are what ill play most often, but would want any other game installed on my HDD. is there any way i can do that?

Thanks for any help in advance

    Try this:

SteamTool Library Manager 1.1 - Stefan Jones

It's called Steam Tool and it lets you change file locations for every subfolder of steam.
I've used this before I got my 240GB SSD and it works and is really easy to use.

What I would suggest you do in the future (when you reinstall Steam) is choose a different drive for your game installs. When you install the Steam App it allows you to change the game directory for all games/downloads. For that you don't need a third party app to change directory.

I've got a 256 SSD drive but I keep my Steam directory on my 1TB drive - G:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

And to be honest other than running out of SSD space, you're not gaining a lot of (if any) speed by having the root directory on your SSD drive.

Anyway the file dejavecue pointed to lets you move your extra stuff to a different drive. But, as I suggest above, if you initially install Steam's game Directory to a large drive, you shouldn't need that app.

    My two cents
