cant get aoe 3 to work.

I just cant get it to work, ive tried compatibility with windows xp (sp2), the os I had before upgrading to windows 7. Didn't work, I tried using 3danalyze to tone some graphics down. Didn't work. Tried uninstall and reinstall. Doesn't work! I get to the splash screen, it hangs, then it stops working.

Turn off UAC all the way and see if that helps. I had that problem with GPG and some other game, it wouldn't get past the Splashscreen. Just remember to turn UAC back on if you so desire.

i've got it running on my laptop with ultimate build 7600(x64) fine with no problems, just turn off UAC and install in compatibility mode for windows vista. now if you know how to install the warchiefs expansion that would be helpful to me. i keep being told to create a folder in the aoe folder for it to go into but have no idea where to put it i've tried everything.

Make darn sure when you install games to run JUST Setup.exe in the CD/DVD Folder as about 75% of the time the Autorun fails
So just run Setup.exe and run as Admin in Vista SP2 mode everything should install just fine as I finally got all my AoE 3 and C&C 3 to install correctly.

    Although I am running 7100 x86
