Black Ops 2; My CPU Enough?

I've been debating whether or not I should buy BO:2, and of course in my amateur foolishness I forgot to check if my PC could even run the darn thing. I know for sure that my Graphics card and RAM are up for the task, but my CPU is the worst thing currently in my computer.

So the question remains, Is my CPU up for the challenge? I have an "AMD Athlon 7750 Black Edition", and according to this article, BO:2 requires an "Intel Core2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHz or AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHz". I'm not sure if mine is better than these, or far worse, and I'm not really sure how to check either.

If it is not as good, then I'm thinking about overclocking it, as I've heard that others have had good results with it (although I don't know how to do that either).

What processor do you use? You never mentioned it and not listed in your system specs on your profile.

Yeah didn't see that anyways, pretty sure a that duo core you have can run it but if you want something better I would at least get a althon II or phenom II with 4 cores if your mother board supports it. Though I think it will run regardless unless the video card card is weak, the processor might hold the video card back though but usually cod games are console ports and probably not that much more demanding then BO1 even though the new one is said to have dx11. If your really want to upgrade, get at least a AMD Phenom II X4 965. Though I can't tell you if the processor would work since I don't know what motherboard you are using but if it's AM3+ socket and can take 125+ Watt cpu's then it should work.

That would only hold water if the others were not Console Ports and/or if they were ported correctly.

The first Medal of Honor (the one with Rabbit, Mother, Voodoo & Preacher) was not a problem on a rig like mine... the latest MoHWarfighter is a total mess with lags and bugs and freezes, etc, etc.

Just be careful, don't pre-order, wait for the game to be out for a few days and check the forums and internet for what people are saying... then go from there!

Agreed Black ops 1 was a mess on launch with crashes and lag. Got fixed in about 1-2 weeks or so with the crashes and the lag problem took a couple patches. Hopefully BO2 is done better.
