    Games' crashes... Why?

    Hello!
    I have problems.
I bought "Assassin's Creed [Director's Cut Edition]" DVD copy and "BioShock" though Steam.
My laptop is Lenovo Y580 which includes:
    Intel Core i7-3610QM @ 2.30 Ghz
    8GB DDR3 RAM 1600Mhz
    2GB GDDR5 GeForce GTX 660M @ 1366x768
Generally, most of the people need this type of information.
So, "Assassin's Creed" is not working. Version of the game is 1.02 and there is no other one. When I'm starting the game using DX9 .exe it runs but it freezes at UbiSoft intro for a while and in battles again freezes at the first hit made by me. It doesn't work in DX10. Well, it works in Windowed Mode which doesn't satisfy me. Any seggestion?
"BioShock" crashes at the menu. If I run it by typing into the "Target" tab "-dx9", it starts but in lower resolution. If I change it to 1366x768 it crashes at the loading.
"BioShock 2" also crashes at the menu.

I bought "Aliens vs. Predator" through Steam and the game is running great in DX11 at max settings. With one exception - it freezes for a second when the Predator is taking the victim for a close kill. I have "Crysis (Maximum Edition)" and "Crysis" is running perfect (DX10) but I didn't try "Crysis: Warhead" yet. I have the latest drivers of nVidia and I tried to update any DirectX version 9/10/11 but no success. "Duke Nukem: Forever", "Borderlands", "Dead Space", "Dead Space 2", "Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit", "Bulletstorm", "Red Faction: Armageddon", "F.3.A.R.", "F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin", "X-Men: Origins - Wolverine", "StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty", "Sniper: Ghost Warrior", "Transformers: War for Cybertron", "Serious Sam 3: BFE", "Section 8: Prejudice" are working perfectly at max settings.
    I do need help!
Thanks to all of you who will try to help me!

    Hi,

first, are your graphics card's drivers updated? If not, update them. If they are updated, re-install them...

Also trying doing the same with the Audio Driver... making sure you get a fresh copy from manufacturer and not through windows update.

Also, check the AC3 Ubisoft forums, it may be their own fault... they are known for their horrendous ports and shady pc games as of late. Well, since 2005 really but who's counting!

Thank you! Yes, they are updated. I will re-install video drivers but I'm thinking which to re-install - nVidia drivers only or both and I mean Intel graphics integrated plus the external GTX 660M. The Audio drivers are running without any problem. Also I'm thinking of re-installing Windows because I read a lot last night and I see that my Direct3D is not running under 64-bit. Which I think is not so good. I started "dxdiag" and the test ran in 32-bit and when saw the button "Run 64-bit test" I pressed it and "dxdiag" crashed, stopped working... Which leads me to think that something is wrong with the Windows system files. If that is the problem I will solve it. But still I'm not sure. Yes, I admit, I'm using cracked Windows or activated via so called "Loader". That's why I can find another release of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and install it so I can see will it be better. Anyway, thank you, again and if you know something else maybe you can tell me is it my logic correct.
