I have gotten a new laptop and have tried to install fallout 3 on it, being one of my favorite games. Problem is, I can't install it, the install disk is blank. Or so it seems...?
Whenever I put the install disk in my PC, it doesn't show any files within, no auto play or auto installer appear and seems like a blank CD. I put in the other disk (disk2) and it has the same issue. It reads it as a DVD ROM, but there is no information, no pop ups or any feedback from the disc. So, I honestly didn't know how to handle this.
I asked my Roommate to see if the disk was blank on his machine. Turns out, the installer and everything pops up fine, he is able to read the disk with no issues. Both disks have files and I am still stumped.
Thinking its a problem with my disk drive, I kinda get pissed and try out one of my DVD's. It works, I am able to read it on through VLC video player and windows media player.
I have no idea what the issue is, and attempting to uninstall (and reinstall) the
driver gave no results. I have looked online and bethezda does not offer any way to retrieve it online (excluding buying it again).
What can I do to repair my CD drive or get the GOTY Fallout 3 (I have a valid CD Key) so I can play a game I love.
