unable to play nfs most wanted

Hello,
I unable to play nfs most wanted error "speed.exe has stopped working" some times it starts but most of the time im getting that error please help me. nfs underground 2 is working fine but not this game i have tried many things like run as administrator, also tried all setting from properties Compatibility tab, run in safe mode nothing works for me. My computer specifications:

Operating system - windows 7 ultimate x64
Processor - Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.66 GHz
RAM - 3 GB

Please help me to play it

I tried google for the error and it gives me conflicting answers so, before I accuse of anything, I am just going to say this...

Uninstall game, make sure you have install steam if downloaded from it, make sure you install it correctly and completely and try again.

Unable to play some WMA files
I have got windows 7 with the default WMP12 and i cannot play some WMA files that i ripped with a previous version of WMP. It says that they do not have any license restrictions or anything, just wont play them and can't tell track length etc (i presume cant read the tags). Any ideas what's wrong??...

Unable to play dvd's via HDMI
I can't play dvd's when I connect my laptop (HP dv7 series, Win7 Pro x64) to a TV (a Toshiba I think) via HDMI. If I disconnect the HDMI-cable I can play dvd's in both WMP and VLC as normal. When I connect the HDMI-cable I can see my desktop on the TV but I can't play dvd's in neither WMP nor VLC....
