I might just do that smarteyeball, I might just do that but it will be only when the price gets to about 5 cheeseburgers ... that's how much I am willing to give up to UBI.
How do you know when to stop before you get to a mission so they don't hear you coming? A friend asked me this last night (yes, he bought it already so I may have a chance to see him in action tonight)... he says that when he is given a mission and he is driving to it, more times than not, he will drive almost to the point of being caught and other times, trying to prevent getting caught, he has to walk like a marathon man to get there so... what's a good gauge? | My System Specs |

In regards to performance/port issues
I havent tested performance too much but on my GTX 570/2700K set up, but I have everything set at HIGH with VSYNC ON and it runs well. Im 99% sure I have x2 FXAA as well turned on. Not certain ATM though.
Might try later pushing some settings to Very High but even at high it looks and runs nice.
I wouldn't call it a bad port though. AT least what Ive seen of it (which isnt too much just yet to be fair) it does perform well. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom (Self Build) OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Intel Core i7 2700k Motherboard eVGA P67 SLI Memory 8GB Mushkin Redline Ridgebacks @1866 Graphics Card EVGA GTX570 SC Sound Card XiFi Titanium HD Monitor(s) Displays LG W2453V Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Saitek Cyborg PSU Seasonic x750 Case Corsair 600T SE White Cooling eVGA Superclocked CPU Cooler Hard Drives Intel 320 80GB -- Intel X25-V 40GB --WD Black 1TB x2 -- WD Blue 640GB Antivirus Kaspersky Browser IE Other Info LG BD/DVD |

I am really enjoying this game. Great visuals, gunplay is awesome and the overall gameplay is a nice change from the average COD run and gun type game.
I have logged about 16 hours so far mostly sticking to the main storyline and haven't played anything else since I got it. Which is a big thing for me as most games nowadays, I get bored and move on to something else and get back to them whenever. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Self built OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 CPU Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz Motherboard Asus P8Z77-V Memory 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz Graphics Card EVGA GTX 570 Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 1. I must take back some of the things I said about the game since it does not look to be a bad port but I still maintain that it should not bare the Franchise name since this is more of an Adventure game with the sporadic shooting. UBIsoft could have call it anything else but choose to Bank on the fact that people loved the FC game... just like it did with FC2
Don't misconstrue, I lost a little time watching my friend go out of his way to cut flowers and stuff and it is nice just to walk around smelling said flowers. I just would like some sort of a handshake when you are getting close to bad areas so if you don't want to get into a confrontation with baddies you can avoid them. Then, when you feel like changing life styles and skin some human heads instead of animals, you can go looking for fights. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) CPU Intel Q9650 Motherboard EVGA 780i FTW Memory 8GBs Corsair Dominator 1066Mhz Graphics Card Asus GTX660 (2GBs) + MSI 9600GT (PhysX) Sound Card Onboard Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays Acer AL2216W Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU PC Cooling 750w Silencer Case Thermaltake Spedo Advance Cooling CM 8V Hard Drives WD VelociRaptor 300GB

Thats a deal breaker for me Bro! Seriously, I might just try it, sounds good, Cuz! It's not the voice acting so much as the way a couple of story points are handled. The story progresses and it makes a ridiculous sort of sense though I was able to deal with it. The second island seemed set up better to me in general.
One problem I had was I had to disable display scaling to get the mouse to function right in the menus. It's a minor thing though I had to apply the same fix to BF3 and several other recent titles. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Insane hobo technologies. ;-) OS Windows 7 x64 CPU Intel i7 2600k Motherboard Asrock z68 extreme 4 gen 3 Memory G.skill Ripjaw 16gigs @ 1866 Graphics Card Nvidia gtx580 (evga) Sound Card Integrated HD audio + hdmi Monitor(s) Displays 24" ASUS widescreen + 42" insignia Screen Resolution 1080p (1920x1080) Keyboard Microsoft wireless 3000 (v2) Mouse MS - wireless 5000 (bluetrack) PSU 1 kilowatt SLI/Crossfire rated Silverstone modular Case NZXT Phantom + additional 220 fan Cooling Zalmann Hard Drives 128 Samsung 830

Pay day tomorrow and tempted to pick it up, especially when it's only £29.99 on Steam. There is a colored area on the map surrounding most objectives, usually entering the marked area (on minimap) is an indication it's time to get out of the vehicle and start footing it. The stealth aspect does actually require a bit of patience and work if you are going to play that way. I played a lot of the first half of the game with nothing but my knife and bow myself. You actually unlock a nice perk by taking out multiple camps without being detected at all. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Insane hobo technologies. ;-) OS Windows 7 x64 CPU Intel i7 2600k Motherboard Asrock z68 extreme 4 gen 3 Memory G.skill Ripjaw 16gigs @ 1866 Graphics Card Nvidia gtx580 (evga) Sound Card Integrated HD audio + hdmi Monitor(s) Displays 24" ASUS widescreen + 42" insignia Screen Resolution 1080p (1920x1080) Keyboard Microsoft wireless 3000 (v2) Mouse MS - wireless 5000 (bluetrack) PSU 1 kilowatt SLI/Crossfire rated Silverstone modular Case NZXT Phantom + additional 220 fan Cooling Zalmann Hard Drives 128 Samsung 830

Thanks Maguscreed, I will try to find that colored area this weekend when I go over to my friend and play a bit.
Also, is the quick save Buggy? Twice now I have quick save only to die and go back to the AutoSave which happened to be about 10 to 15 minutes prior to the last Quick Save Game.
Now, another thing I just remember and it is a Huge Deal Breaker for me... " Toggle Aim" I hate it with a passion when I have to Click + Hold a mouse or KB button to aim, I think its stupid and games should toggle by default but, I goggled it and I found it so I will post it here in case others are like me and have to change their stance because of this.
Now, do this at your own risk or peril... I would make a backup of the file first in case you botch the whole thing Quote: modify the XML file in: Documents\My Games\Far Cry 3\Gamerprofile.XML
