(yes, I know it's a week old quote)
Yeah, it feels more repetitive than the first did, but from what I've played of it and the second (and a ridiculous amount of the first) FC3 seems a lot more of a spiritual successor to Far Cry than FC2 was. I'd like to say that it's not just because it's set on an island, but I fear that may be all that's influencing that thought

I played the Original FC more times than I care to admit, even with the creatures from hell that still give me nightmares

and once I use cheats to gain all weapons and ammo, it was still more fun than before... I never used cheats the first few times I went through the whole thing though, but, it is a cool thing to have as it makes you do things you couldn't do before.
I can't remember if you were able to go all stealthly like but I do recall you could prone and snipe from a distance, something you can"t really do on FC3 w/o the enemy being alerted and immediately hone in on your position no matter how far away you are (I use the suppressor + high scope and I am usually as far away as possible), let alone FC2 (didn't even finished or cared to finished that turd

).
The little that I played FC3 I like, more so because of the view/scenery than anything else but, I would have enjoyed it even more if the game was ALL about shooting and me not having to pick flowers and stuff.
Hey, here's an idea for UBI's next FC game... make one adventure and one FPS only
