Windows 7: Windows 7 Sims 3

Windows 7 Sims 3

I received the Brand New game in September and have been playing it great ever since. The game will not register, as it says the code has already been taken.
Also, I have been downloading objects from thesimsresource.com for the last week and have had no problems.
Tonight I tried loading one of my households and the game shuts down. Not the computer.
Windows says that a problem has caused the sims 3 to stop working.
I have deleted the chache, fixed the registry, and still the problems remain.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this
and how can I find the error code.

I have looked around all day today and it seems uninstalling and reinstalling won't help.

Thank-you so much

Having your system specs will help a lot, too. Please put them up in a post, or in your profile. We can better help you with them.
