    Random freezes while playing games.

    Hello,

I have recently noticed some sporadic freezes while playing games. These freezes occur like once every 4 or 5 minutes for like 1 second and then everything becomes normal for another 5-4 mins. The good news is, I think that I might've figured this out, you see all my games were installed on my WD 1tb green and after trying everything I thought that I should give it a try and install the games on my ssd, and since then not a single freeze was encountered. My question here is it possible that I have a faulty harddisk? Are there any possible fixes for this?

It could be a faulty HDD, yes. Fixing it? Not sure.

A green disc should still be able to run games fairly well. Is the harddrive fragmented? A fragmented disc can make the read head have to move more then usual an that makes it too slow to keep up with the game it self also what games are you playing? Have you been in cotect with the retailer about the issue as they might be able to tell you if there is a serious error without having a look at it or give you an recommendation about how to stress test the drive that is up to their "standards".

Thank you, Legaia for you response.

As for the freezes, I tried my friends extra harddrive which is the same 1tb green, and it seems that so far not a single freeze has been encountered, been playing for an hour until now, this has never happened before, it usualy freezes after like 5 minutes or so. So, I guess the problem is with my HDD, seems that I need to get a new HDD. Thanks to all
