Without knowing your computer specs is hard to say what the problem is. Aside from this, your explanation is very vague but, what I would do to begin with is:
Download the latest audio and video drivers from the manufacturer and copy them to a temp folder, also download a copy of Ccleaner, do a windows update if you haven't done it in a while, uninstall your video drivers (if you have an Nvidia card, don't forget to uninstall PhysX) as well as your audio drivers, restart computer and go to Safe Mode, open Ccleaner and run the cleaner and registry cleaner, restart again and let win 7 install generic drivers, go to temp folder and install your newest audio and video driver, restart and hopefully, this should help with your freezing.
