    Combat Arms Not Wanting to Work


    I have recently tried to get back into playing Combat Arms, however, it does not want to seem to run under Windows 7 at all. It ran fine under Windows XP.

    I have added the program to my Comodo Firewall trusted programs, but it doesn't seem to be a firewall issue. I have tried running it under XP/Vista Compatibility, and it still does not run. I have tried adding the .exe file to the DEP list, but that doesn't fix the issue either. Running as Admin does nothing.

    I have a dual-boot machine with XP and Windows 7. I hardly ever go into Windows XP, and I'm not exactly willing to go into XP just for a single game (every other game I play is on 7).

    Has anyone else made this game work with Windows 7 at all? I've already searched the other threads here, but none of them are related to my problem. It's not a DirectX problem, it's not a graphics card issue (seeing as I highly doubt new drivers will make it work, simply because if it would, my driver version is newer than said game). It's not a memory problem (I have the RAM), it's not a HDD space issue. It obviously has to be some type of problem with something, but I don't know what. Others have said it works fine under their own Windows 7 machines (both 64bit & 32bit).

    Help would be appreciated, thank you.

    Edit: When I mean "not running", I mean that the game will get to the point of the "little guy running in the corner", and then when it's done loading, I will get an error stating the game has stopped working.

    Is this an Offline or Online game? if Offline, have you tried shutting down the internet, AV and firewall just to see if it starts w/o it? Once it does, it would be easier to troubleshoot the issue.

    What about Patches? are there any you could update?

    Online only. No singleplayer at all.

    It's very similar (copycat) to Battlefield Play For Free.

Hello, Recently I checked on this System Requirements lab site, that checks my system specs to see if I am compatible to play some games. Well I checked for Combat Arms and it said that my video card needed upgrading. I think it was a NVidia brand one. I want to know if I can still play it okay...

I have been trying Combat Arms... but no luck :shock: my PC is: Core2Duo 2.2Ghz 1GB Ram DDR2557 Nvidia 7200GS And i been playing this game in Vista and XP... but in 7, when i run it, nothings happens... but in the Task Manager, "Engine.exe" is running and i cant terminate that process....

Hi, so, I realize that there are a lot of these posts, but not one of them corresponds to my problem. So, i start Combat arms, and log in, choose a server, go to a game... and in a few secs, the game closes, with no error messages or anything =P so whats going on?
I having problems playing combat arms,I first load the game then chose a server an a channel when im loading to the channel the game paralyze but the music is still playing,i press esc and when it came to the destop a pop-up was there but i couldnt read it because it closes when i close combat arms...
