Not to sure if the latest patch did any good. The AI is still not very good with pathfinding IMHO when they are in vehicles, apart from that this game has been a big improvement since I played the original OFP. The community maps are great and for me keep the game going, it's a real shame that Codemasters are no longer supporting it
The command of squad mates in the SP game took some getting used to, but once you got used to it, it was simple, although I have selected the wrong order in the heat of battle before with dire consequences.
IMHO I enjoyed this game over ARMA, I played the demo for that and it was too complicated.
If you want more realisim with OFPDR then set it to realistic mode, but expect to die a lot!
The only real niggling issue I have with this game is the graphics, I have had no problems playing this game on my PC, but I would have liked better graphics, this is almost very retro for me, but I like the game-play and the mission editor. This is something that keeps me going back for more.
As for the MP side of things... forget it, with-out dedicated servers this side of the game sucks IMHO, I have tried to play MP several times, with the same results, lagging, cutting out slow pings etc......
If they got the graphics and MP right, this would have been a hell of a game.

Sorry to bring this back but I got nothing to play at the moment and I want to revisit the game... I also see there is a newer patch out there... can someone tell me if that did anything for the SP Campaign? Most of the time, I don't believe what they say the patch does or I don't understand it because they don't specify whether it is for MP or SP.

Ghost Recon Future Soldiers seems like its going to be a flop and with Ubisoft changing dates like I change underwear, we probably will see it by 2030 and by then... those future weapons and gadgets will be obsolete

I heard that is was for MP play? I only do SP Campaigns... I am not that good playing MP and I don't have the patience to setup my router, wait for a game to load only to die in 2 secs by a camper and start the whole process again
