Xbox360 compatible with MS wireless desktop 2000?

All, first post...(!)

I have a MS wireless desktop 2000 (kbd & mouse). Can a wireless xbox360 controller be utilized with the same rxr or does a xbox360 controller require a different dongle?
Thanks!

well, i'm afraid that you'll have to purchase a specific dongle for your xbox controller, the kb and mouse works off 2.4Ghz 802.11 whereas the controller works off 2.4Ghz proprietary wireless signals.

MrNeeds,
Thanks for the response. I gathered that would be the case.
