Is there any way I can bypass MS restrictions to use Virtual XP?
You may not be able to install XP Mode but you can install Virtual PC which is the MS Virtual Environment without the licensed copy of XP.

do you know of any good tutorials?
You can use Google as well as I can to find tutorials on how to set up Win 95 in VMWare.

What's crap about the tutorials you've found? Ask specific questions about issues you are having trying to set it up.

For instance, I found this:

Windows 95 3-in-one Setup Tutorial for VMWare: General Setup, Sound, and Internet - YouTube

but I have no idea where to download the files required.

I personally don't care for YouTube tutorials.

Here's a pointer to the VMWare Player docs that describe installing Win 95 in a VM: http://partnerweb.vmware.com/GOSIG/Windows_95.html

The big problem is I don't know where to get my copy of Win 95, and whether it will work etc.

Yeah, you kind of need to already own Windows 95 and have a license key of your own.

Something sounds fishy here

Anyway you should be able to find a copy of XP or 95 without asking for "illegal" assistance; Especially 95...

And in case you missed the rules, piracy or discussion of it is frowned upon here.

Peace

I initially downloaded a boot disk but was not sure if it was the right one. Anyway, how would discussing piracy harm this forum? If anything it would just draw more users right?

Good news is that I managed to run MindGym in VMWare player. Bad news is that after I followed that tutorial (the one I linked), the sound quality is terrible.

Also, the game runs at a low res and takes up only a fraction of the screen. Is there any way I can zoom in?
