Suggest Graphics settings of TOmb Raider

I've played Tomb Raider for 15 mins. and omg! Gpu temp rises to 63 degrees c! Not even Dead Space 3 at high settings did that, I understand though it was perhaps because of Dx9 ... can anybody suggest settings for my setup that wouldn't fry my gpu, yet look reasonably decent/crisp ?

63c isn't so bad, my 260GTX used to reach 85+ under load, 30c idle, GPU's are designed to cope at high temps, you could fiddle about with the automatic fan speed, maybe the software only kicks in to full speed when it hits higher temps.

    63 is fine.
My skyrim, and Valley/Heavy benchmarks barely go past 65 with the fans at60% and card at full load for 30 minutes.

80C or so is considered normal operating temprature. Even up to 85.

I use an aggresive fan profile myself, which keeps my 570 around 70-72 under demanding games, and 60-65ish on most others.

If it bothers you though do whats been suggested, and what I do. Just set a custom fan profile thats on a auto slope, or set a constant fan speed in CCC.
Quieter Opertaion-Higher Temps Louder Operation-Lower Temps. Thats the cost/trade-off.

Either way, your completely fine and well within normal/safe ranges even leaving it as it is.

FWIW, TR is a bit demanding. As is Witcher 2. The Dead Space games generally do not require much GPU power which is why it runs so much cooler.

Okay, whew! Here the summer's just starting off, so the temps got me a little worried there.

No, I've not fiddled around with the Afterburner (as I've got no experience with that kind of software), can you suggest a mild fan speed increase through Automatic Fan control settings. Nothing to aggressive, just to increase the speed of the fan a little when the temp gets hotter than/at 60 c? My default setting is attached.

63 is fine just don't past 85c and if you start getting close to 90c then just stop it. I like to start ramping up my fans to 100% when they get to 85c. You could make the change rate in fans a bit faster by changing it from every 5000 millsecs to 500 so when it hits that temp it will change almost right away.

Funny thing is I keep my fan speed pretty low since it works for me but you try raising it to say higher 50's when getting into the 50s.
I usually don't past 64-66 on intensive games, easier to run games like to sit like at 55c for me.At 63c you shouldn't have to worry but if you really want to you could set your fans speeds once passing 50c about 10 percent fan increase. Mine are pretty low and lower then yours as you can see. Also you could try cleaning out your fans and case, I have two intake fans on the side of the case and one exaust in the back and works fine for me since my gpus fan seems to be a intake fan from what I've noticed and blows it out the back were it has holes were you connect it from the back. Though every card is different so some might need more higher fan speeds to stay cool. I like my computer quiet so I keep my fans speeds low and when stressing mine in furmark I don't go above 85 which is warm but ok since it's under heavy stress and more then it would be in a game.

Its really just a matter of prefrence between noise and temp. Keep tinkering, you'll find a balance that suits you.
