help with lag and new GPU

ALL of my directx 9 games are very choppy and laggy on my new 6670. games like all the COD series, forsaken word etc....

but BFBC2 is running awesome @1080p on max settings! there should be no lag comming from COD when BFBC2 and DiRT3 are running awesome at 1080. how can i fix this? changing the resolution does not help much.

the lag i was getting on cod never happened on my internal GPU which was DX10.1, however, i know its not the new GPU, B/C i can play BFBC2 on 1080 with no lag.

    Isn't BFBC2 and Dirt 3 directX11? The 6670 supports DX11 best.
Check if the other games might be using OpenGL.

I had an 6670, and it never gave me issues that wouldn't be solved without reducing detail settings.

correct. but reducing the resolution from 1080 to 600X800 does NOTHING! ? this is on every DX9 game.

Yeah, because when you go to 600x800 the application stops being so GPU dependant and starts depending highly on teh CPU. It might be that your CPU is not powerful enough to handle your games even at the minimum resolution

OpenCL is mostly used for Nvidia Cuda. Possibly game highly compatible with nvidia.
