    How do I change the Spider Solitaire score via registry?

    Due to an annoying bug in Spider Solitaire on Win7, my high score has been inflated to the impossible, such as 2890. I don't want to reset my stats, so I'd like to enter my true high score (1209) into the registry. The problem is I can't find it. The location that existed in XP does not exist in 7. Does anyone happen to know where the scores are stored?

    cbiweb, To reset the game statistics. while in the game press F4, the Solitaire Statistics dialog box will appearer After that you select game option that you want to reset then click [Reset] button after that click [close] button to resume the game.

    Stay out of the registry, that is cheating

    You will score 1209 again, don't worry

    I know how to reset my stats, which is exactly what I don't want to do, as stated.

    Please re-read my post to comprehend the situation, and advise.

    I'm not sure how this qualifies as piracy or anything illegal??

    It's not cheating if all I want to do is put the correct score back into my stats. It is impossible to achieve a score of 2890 in Spider Solitaire, and I simply want to put things back on track. How is that cheating?

    I don't understand why this is such a big issue.

    cbiweb,
    I apologize for over reacting. Try this to restore your spider solataire

    go to C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Microsoft Games\
    right click the SpiderSolataireSettings xml file, choose properties, select the previous versions and select one dated prior to when the game glitched.

    Again I apologize as that is not cheating

    Thanks, Dude. It happens. :)

    I've successfully fixed the score. Totally didn't expect the method of storing scores to be an xml file!

                </HighScore>

                <HighScore>
                    <Score>23</Score>
                    <Time>1441721371</Time>
                </HighScore>

                <HighScore>
                    <Score>78</Score>
                    <Time>1440800075</Time>
                </HighScore>

                <HighScore>
                    <Score>80</Score>
                    <Time>1441108663</Time>
                </HighScore>
    </HighScores>
                <LongestWinStreak>5</LongestWinStreak>
                <LongestLoseStreak>81</LongestLoseStreak>
                <CurrentStreak>4</CurrentStreak>
                <CurrentStreakTypeIsWin>false</CurrentStreakTypeIsWin>
            </GameStat>
    Look the two score setted to 1.... i need to delete this apparently it's impossible...

    Yeah.. i know it's possibly totally to reset all records but i lost all preferences....

    I have tryed this solution and i don't have any previously file to restore......

    If someone thinks i can do anything to deleted this two score with 1..... reply here :)

    Thanks in advance.

    If it's needed i can also upload here the complete file......

    I am having the same problem with Free Cell. Through a clicking error, an unbroken string of 3600 or so wins has been marred by a first loss. I have tried the methods in this thread but cannot get appdata to show in navigation. Is there something I am not doing or is there any other way to change the 1 loss to zero? Please help, if anyone is looking at this old thread. Google has been no help.

    Thanks, AJ

    I fixed it. I forgot to allow system and hidden files and folders to display. After I did, everything worked. I did have to reboot the computer for the reverted scores to stick, but that was all. If anybody is reading this old thread, that was my solution.
