Do I Need a Gaming Mouse?

I recently bought an ASUS G75 gaming notebook, which is great, and I'm currently using a Logitech M510 usb wireless mouse. I play mostly FPS and it has enough buttons for me, the problem is aiming accuracy when shooting, especially at moving targets. I've tried playing around with the sensitivity, turning smoothing on and off, but it doesn't seem to help. (Maybe I'm just uncoordinated.)

Would a gaming mouse help with this kind of issue? If so, I'd appreciate some recommendations. I'd definitely prefer wireless, especially bluetooth, since the G75 has that built-in. I don't mind paying up if it's a good product and will solve my movement/accuracy issues. Thanks much.

Are the erratic movements all the time or only when in heavy firefights? Is this happening Online or when doing the Campaigns? Notebooks are notorious for their lack of air, more so when gaming and wireless or BT mouses lack the quick reaction of a wired mouse so there must be a combination of things because the M510 should be an ok mouse.

This does not give me a great feeling, let alone confidence of Gaming Capable.

What games are you playing?

I'm not sure I'd say it's necessarily "erratic", it's just hard to be pinpoint accurate, for instance, when tracking a moving target across the screen. That's why I was trying to adjust it through sensitivity settings but none of that seemed to help. I'm not much of a gamer, so maybe that's normal, I'm not sure.

So far everything I'm playing has been offline. I've played Wolfenstein and right now I'm playing Far Cry 2.

When tracking a moving target you must remember that you need to LEAD said target, you can not expect to shoot when the crosshairs are on him and kill him since by the time the bullet gets to him, he has already moved ahead, perhaps you need to aim slightly ahead (lead the target) and then shoot?

If the target is at a stand still, can you kill him then? if so, then perhaps your problem is not a problem at all... you just need a little more practice.
