I don't see what your issue is against Ubisoft for using an autosave system when they aren't the only ones doing so...

    Crysis 2
    Bioshock Infinite
    Dead Space 3
    Prototype 1 & 2

So lets see, that's EA, Activision, and 2K games, to name a few.

Now if you don't like the autosave system (I don't) that's different, but to single out Ubisoft for this is a bit unfair.
My issues is not the "Autosave" my issue is with every game they churn out as they are unfinished and buggy, to the point where you can not even install it or play it...

Personally, I don't mind autosave, it makes for a better game as you have to at least be more careful about not dying easily. It does suck if you are in the middle of something and you have to go out but, for the most part, I like it.

Hello chaps, now this is a big problem for me.

I bought Ubisoft's I Am Alive on Monday, and every time I save I get a little problem. When it saves and I exit to the main menu it saves perfectly, but when I quit to desktop it erases the save and I have to start from the beginning. I am getting a bit annoyed at this and was wondering if anyone had found a way past it, I really wanna finish the game without starting from the beginning again.

    Cheers, Sparrow.
That Game is Headache it took me using a xbox immulater to just g et the control to work and even after that It was horrible

I think if you went through steam try to update it because the copy I have works fine now for some reason but yeah the game is pretty badly ported but I just can't tell you how mine really fixed itself

but I know there was a fix on the web for it also that game was made to auto save

Well if we look back at your postings we see you have all sorts of issues with gaming in general

At any rate the "ubisocks" is not helping the OP with the issue at hand.

This should help you how the hell do you save the game? - I Am Alive Message Board for Xbox 360 - GameFAQs

I assume you saw the loading screen with how many retries you have in the left corner ?

You have your ways and I have mine, at least I take the time to try to help the OP by doing some searching for him. If you really don't like what I say or how I say it, you can always avoid reading my posts

I have issues with gaming when Companies want me to be ok with their shabby way of doing business. I also have issues when people are blind to it and eat what they are offering because I end up with the short end of the stick at the end so if I can persuade guys to look before they cross the street, I will continue to do so... again, you can always avoid my posts or put me on ignore, your choice.

You are correct; and to be honest I violated my own rule by doing so. But than again I was trying to help the OP.

    Peace

I have the game and been playing it for a while personally it kinda sucks too much crap going on and hardly any extra equipment around to help you out I just think they could have made it much better as in terms of usage of the player himself

One of my pet peeves with Ubishaft is just that... the potential of their games is always there. Hell I started playing games because of Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six so, part of the hate is because they took something dear away from me and turned into a holding hands movie game.

You go to their forums and everyone is peeved for one reason or another. Now, being said that, you can hardly blame Ubi if even after such a shoddy game and problems, people are stupid enough to further purchase their DLC and continue bitching about it.

Message Board for XBOX 360 Solar, I've got the game on PC so it wouldn't be of much help.

As this could be another Console game ported to PC, you would be surprise to find out that, most of the time, there are not major differences in how the game reacts or play.

The only other solution I can give you is to start a Ticket with Ubi's technical support. In my experience this will probably not yield good results but, at the very least, you will have something in writing that you can take to your credit card or retailer should you want to get your money back. Sometimes, even if we like the game, we have to walk away from it.

Sorry we can't help you any further and if I can make just one more suggestion... if you can't make it work and can't get your money down, get upset, it is normal but jot it down to experience and make sure next time around, before you purchase a game, search if the game has problems before you toss your money away.
