    New laptop suddenly became slow?

I just bought this laptop 1 week ago and everything was just fine. I could play games like battlefield 3, black ops, crysis with 30-60fps, but yesterday all of a sudden the games where lagging so hard with 10-15 fps. The last thing I was doing when my laptop was fine, I was checking the benchmarks of resident evil 5, it was just fine, 60 fps. After downloading NFS most wanted, my fps on all my games dropped so bad. Even on the lowest settings. I already scanned everything, checked battery options(high performance), but nothing works.

    My specs are:
    GPU: geforce gt 635m
    CPU: i7 3630qm 2.4ghz
    Ram: 8GB
    Windows 8

I would be very thankful if you guys could help me .

Try checking your CPU and GPU with HWMonitor from CPUID. If the CPU and GPU both reach more than 85 °C, it's very likely that they're throttling to protect themselves from excessive temperatures.

If it was yesterday that this happened perhaps a system restore of a day or two ago could put it back to normal... perhaps you downloaded and install malware or virus along with NFSMW? Not saying you pirated but Malware is everywhere now a days.
