Screen lags/freezes and beep sound come after playing DOD:S a while

    Hey,

I am writing here to see if anyone has any pointers or can help me with my problem. When I play Day of Defeat Source, after a while the screen freezes and lags in combination with the keyboard.

The beep sound comes from the speakers, not the actual computer.

When it lags/freezes I can still alt tab and press keys on the keyboard while e.g. writing a document in WORD.

    Specs:
    Windows 7 64x ultimate
    Quad core processor 4,55 gHz
    8 gb ram
    Radeon HD 6800 series

So far this is the only game that this happends to. I can plat company of heroes 2 with nearly all specs to the fullest. I have played DOD:S even before I re-installed Windows 7, with no other problems.

    Any thoughts?

    Thx!
    Andreas

    Update 14.8.2013,

Now I am getting unexpected shutdowns. They happen when I'm in a game. Not even a demanding game e.g. Heroes 3. And the tilting with framelags etc. happends now in CS:source

I downloaded ASUS monitor, and it keeps warming that the CPU temperature is 65 C. Is this the cause?

Can it be my power source? it is bought in 2007. Can it be faulting?

Orthex try SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Disk Check

and then RAM - Test with Memtest86+
the latter you need to run for at least 8 passes unless the errors come up fairly quickly.

To check out the PSU try these but DO NOT try to disassemble the device

    PSU - Jump Start
    then
