Windows 7: Call Of Duty 4 Multiplayer Not Working!

I've seen several soloutions to this. They sorted this problem for me before when i was using Vista Ultimate but now with Windows 7 Ultimate i cant find the Stereo Mix option on control panel.
I have all patches and i have tried changing the file extenion of mssi to a .BAK.



Even though i am fairly intellgent i am still only 13 so can anyone explain this to me in fairly simple language.

Ok man Im going to give you a friendly warning dont do the "Bump" thing when its only been an hour and I see you have also done it to another thread that we are waiting for more infomation on.

As for your issue we are going to need your system specs please fill it out in your userCP.
As for finding the mixer is should be in your system tray next to your clock click on the the speaker icon and then goto properties.
Try to plug in a mic and start the game i have seen this issue before and that has fixed it.
