SteamOS and Steam Controller

So I noticed this article and I thought it was intersting.

Following up on its enigmatic announcement-of-an-announcement last week, Valve has unveiled SteamOS, a free stand-alone operating system “for living room machines.”

Anyways full article is here and pretty short but this is pretty interesting and wonder how this will effect windows with pc gamers. I might switch to this if it supports all games and set it as partition. This has my interest.

Also they are designing some controller that suppose to benefit using steam os, seems they are trying to make pc gaming in a way to attract console gamers to pc. I suppose its ok doesn't hurt me but its all optional. Not a bad thing I would say but is interesting, pretty risking moves they are doing as well.

I wouldn't use this even if they gave me $100 for admitting it. Steam is a giant pile of poop. Every time I go to play CS:GO, it freaks out and essentially says "F*** You!".

Counter strike works fine for me, all of them.Played cs:go today with no issues. Must be something related to your system,steam is a great app imo but everyone is entitled to their opinions.

I use steam with no probs at all :)

I have always preferred PC gaming, but I think I will give what steam comes up with a shot just because I have been on steam for years and love it.

I'm tempted, but with the main TV in the house being only 15 metres from my rig I think I'll probably just run a long HDMI cable around the room and use The Big Picture. Really in two minds about this one, although that controller is putting me off a lot.
