so im about finished wiith my moding for this game, however, how do I increase the level of detail of the terrain at a distance and also the level of details in trees at a distance?
what is circled in red is what I want to look better. so more details in trees and terrain, and more trees and grass.

Seriously, read this. If you're doing the kind of editing you're wanting to do, you need to read this. It explains everything, from how to increase the number of trees, how to improve how shadows look, increasing grass distance, to improving the distant LOD of various objects including trees and terrain.
Everything you're asking about is explained in that guide in detail. It's too much information for us to post for you here.

I'm afraid no one here is going to be able to explain it any better than that link will.
Also, if you insist...
You can set Gridstoload to 7 and it's kind of stable. Not as much as Gridstoload 5. You're going to CTD sometimes if you do it, but it's not horribly bad. Do not set it as high as 9 or 11, that -will- make your game unplayable no matter how good your hardware is.
I don't recommend bumping it up to 7 unless having the prettiest possible graphics is extremely important to you, but the game is playable if set to 7. If you do it, set exteriorcellbuffer to 64 as well. Leave interiorcellbuffer alone. There are no interiors that exceed the vanilla detail distance.
Again, I don't advise it, but you'll be able to play the game with minimal CTD. Also, be aware that this will increase load times by a great deal. Seriously, it's going to take a while for the game to load a new area.
I highly recommend backing up your saves to outside your saves folder if you do this. Once you do it, you cannot undo it by simply going back to an earlier save. It alters all the save files in your saves folder.
