Okay so I was finally able to play Ghosts long enough today without it crashing and I ended up beating the game. I am a seasoned CoD player and Steam says my play time is 8 hours on the Hardened difficulty. All in all, it was decent. There were a few interesting parts like fighting in space and diving in the ocean but outside of that, it was a typical Call of Duty. I did enjoy some of the environments (minus the horrible graphics) because they were a bit different for a CoD game. The very ending was actually unexpected (don't know if I like it or not) and left it open ended (make sure to sit through all the credits) but honestly, I really hope they don't make a Ghosts 2.

Want my advice, don't buy it, especially if all you do is play single player. The $60 is not worth the 8 hours of game play and that is even if you can get it to run properly. Just camp out on your buddies sofa next weekend for 5 hours and play it through on easy so you can get the story. Anyways, just let me know if you want to know any of the specifics of the game.

I would never pay 60 cheeseburgers for any game. Hell, I never paid 40 because of exactly that, I only do the campaign and I always thought they were taking me for a ride with so little time of gameplay.

I always get them when they are in the bargain bin (ie: 5 to 10 bucks) because I do play through them a lot... more so the CoD because of how good they were made.

I really don't like spoiler if at all possible but, can you tell me if they also have open Solo Missions like the other MW games do? If the game is 8 hours but also has solo missions, as scripted as they are, I can see myself buying it when it hit the low price points, if not, playing it at my friend's house will have to do.

Sorry to say but no. Outside of the campaign there are no single player missions. The game modes are Campaign, Multiplayer, Squads and Extinction.

The Campaign is as expected. Typical CoD with little to no replay value outside of just wanting to kick some ass.

Multiplayer is the same as well with a few new game modes introduced, but nothing special.

Squads is something you might like. You can build up a squad of NPCs and battle another players squad, with or without them. This gives you an taste of the multiplayer but removes all the annoying people we all hate playing with.

Extinction is their form of Nazi Zombies but actually involves aliens. It is really fun and I enjoy it a lot more than NZ because it has a progressive story and you move onto new areas. I also find that is not as stressful but just as challenging.

Something's gotta give here, I will never pay 60 bucks for a 10 Campaign but, on the other hand I almost understand why they do it... when you invest 50 million dollars on a game and 20 to 25 of it goes to marketing gimmicks, you have/must get that money back. If they would spend only half of that and almost nothing on gimmicks I am sure they could provide a much better campaign, an awesome multiplayer and still charge the 60 bucks for it, then it would almost be worth it.

IN the few minutes I played, I felt rushed to the max, like they push you into the firefights so you die tons of time and you can then say that the game was awesome and lasted 8 hours when it would have taken 1 to 2 max had it not been for the times you die just because they want you to do and replay that part again and again.

Latest COD Modern Warfare 3 was going fine on my Acer Aspire 5750G, Intel i3 2330M, Geforce GT540M and 4 gb DDR3. On medium graphics was ok, what do you think will it work the new COD Ghost on the same Lap Top?

Honestly I don't see why not. The graphics were pretty bad and I would venture to say that MW3s are better. If you were thinking about getting it, I would wait till they work all the kinks out first. It still lags and shutters on my PC so it seems like it would give your laptop a run for it's money.

Watched my friend play the game last night for a little while, I really didn't feel like playing it and I gotta admit that the graphics were cheesy as hell, lower than any bad DX9 game out there and at some point, mostly when they were running on the river, the was a glare coming from the water, like what you get when your drivers are going corrupt or your gpu is going down? I actually thought his drivers were busted but, immediately after he passed the river and got on land again, the glare was gone.

I gotta say, very/extremely disappointed on IW, they have never come up with an unfinished game like this. You can clearly see where the Dev Houses are suffering from the economy problems and the Publishers are rushing them to finish so they can keep making their money... not caring about the Dev House and the Customer.

I actually had the same issue during the river mission. It happens in multilayer too when it rains. Random over saturated spots that blind you.

But yeah I agree. It's all about making money. Nobody cares about the customer because they know it will sell regardless.

Would have bought it just for multiplayer but Im not paying £40 to play matches full of hackers and cheaters. No doubt they will hack Ghosts just a quick as did the other titles
