I lowered my settings last week after talking to Ganj but it's made no difference. I've tried switching between windowed and full screen mode, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, uninstalling and reinstalling PunkBuster, and a few other things I'm struggling to remember.
It does seem to get worse when the server fills up, but I don't have a lot of instances to support that as I haven't played much since this problem started.

I noticed you mention Shadowplay in a thread on our forum. Have you tried only installing the display driver and PhysX without Experience and all the other bumph? making sure to check that clean install box as they can be a real pita for some people.

I have mate, I've been running just the drivers and PhysX for a while now, I uninstalled Experience a couple of months or so ago when I kept hanging. I only reinstalled it so I can record what's going on to show people how bad it is!

Me too mate, I've tried so much different stuff and nothing works. That's why I'm at the end of my tether with it.

Booz, have you tried this

Use your (latest) system DirectX over the ones provided with the game.
Move, rename or delete the following files C:\programfiles x86)\origin games\battlefield 4:

D3DCompiler_46.dll
Copy and paste this file from C:\Windows\System32 to your C:\programfiles x86)\origin games\battlefield 4

D3DCompiler_47.dll

The game will now run these DLL copied from C:\Windows\System32
