Late to the party and no times, but this game is showing real promise. Took me ages to fine tune my wheel for it, but worth putting the effort in. Now I just gotta put in the practice.

Even though i have all assists etc off, I love the little touches like if a car model has ABS, then you have to use ABS. If it's got paddle shifters, you have to use the paddle shifters or if it's a manual you have to use the 7GS shifter. Little touches like that add to the immersion of it. The sounds are great too. With my buttkicker (under chair rumble pack) you get a real nice kick in the bum when going up/down gears like in the FXX and with the bass speaker resting on my cockpit chasis, the overall vibrations feel awesome :)

Yeah it's a real nice game and interesting to follow the development of it bit by bit Patrick.

There is a forum on it which is pretty interesting. You should see some of the set ups the guys on there have for it!

In a way thanks to Steam, I think this will be a new branch of PC gaming future being able to follow and input throughout the cycle via these Alpha purchases.

I just noticed tonight that there is now a slider option to change pedal travel limits. As much as I love my clubsport pedals, the brake actuation literally requires you to push with your entire strength to max out the brakes. now I can limit it and make brakeing just that bit more comfortable. I've "almost" got it all setup perfectly

I'm also happy to see the level of modder interest. This should give this game some serious longevity in the sim racing department.

Cheers for the link. I'll have a good look at it later :)

What assists are you guys using, if any?

The only thing I'm using is the suggested line and even with that on, I can't beat 149.4 at Imola in the 599XX. I always blow one of the sectors...

One thing I'm consistent at is being inconsistent :)

I am a lightweight Patrick, I use an Xbox controller so I have all assists on bar auto braking.

Ah, that would be worth a few extra seconds indeed. Thanks Paul, makes me feel better about being slower :)

The main thing is enjoying the game regardless of controller type or whether you use assists or not.

One thing I don't like about the suggested line is that it's not dynamic in terms of speed.

Yes it seems totally useless for that. I am guessing it's a bug as the game is still in development.

Nice time Patrick, if you want to choose a new track then I will have a bash at that over the next few days.

I hope so. It's useful for plotting the ideal line and giving a general idea of braking areas so it's not completely useless even if it stays that way. I tend to only use them when learning a track and apex's then switch it off.

Cheers mate. Using the Zonda certainly helped.

How about Mugello? That hasn't been done yet has it? Any particular car?

Nope, I am pretty sure we have not tried that track yet.

For cars, we usually just use whatever we can go the fastest in so just whatever car you want to use.

I will give that track a blast later.
