    Sorry for the delay mate, my net was blocked for a week

    In the end I settled for Ultra settings with FXAA. FXAA was the best for driving stutter. I fixed my framerate by not running FRAPS lol. Solid 60FPS when not dipping I reckon though.

    I found that I could run with SLI if I disabled my other screens using the surround/single screen shortcut. it also helped with the amount of crashes I experienced.

    Once I got used to the bugs etc, I actually did enjoy this game. Playing it mostly stealth went a lot of into making it enjoyable. Run n Gun was a bit meh. The main story was pretty good. Listening to audio logs helped flesh it out.

    Driving physics were a bit yawn, and the dashboard left/right view was ridiculously limited but one thing I did love about the vehicles were the tyre marks. They stick around a lot longer over larger areas. Small thing overall, but particularly welcome.

    I can understand a lot of the flack Watchdogs got, but it's definitely not a bad game as some would have you believe. However I would wait until it's patched and comes bundled with all DLCs.

    No worries mate, I'm glad you got it sussed and are now enjoying the game.
    I've been playing it pretty much all the time and am enjoying it plenty which I'm surprised about as it's a lot like the GTA type games that I really don't like. I'm with you where stealth is concerned though as most of the missions rely on it especially the gang hideout mission's.

    I found that V-sync is totally broken in the game and causes a lot of freezes even while walking.

    Settings that work best for me are..
    4xTXAA
    HBAO+ low
    Dof = Off
    Motion Blur =Off
    Shader = High
    Everything else on ultra.

    I still haven't got more than 500 yards from my hideout yet, just haven't had time to game. Found that cash you left though Ganj!

    I'm going to try and get on it again tonight, trouble is I only get an hour at a time which isn't long enough on Watch_Dogs.

    Odd about V-Sync thought. It's working for me.

    Are you playing single screen or in surround?

    I'd say a lot of the freezes are caused by having your TXAA at x4 - It looks great but is a HUGE VRAM eater and takes a bit of oomph to run and does cause that freezing you mentioned. I spoke to a bloke who was running a Titan black @ 1080P x4 TXAA and his VRAM usage was was over 4GB of VRAM. 3GB just isn't enough for x4 TXAA. Too much buffer swapping.

    X4 TXAA is roughly the same hit as X8 MSAA which also eats VRAM and causes jerkiness. On foot, x4 MSAA is okay but I found that driving still had a fair bit of framedrops. And while FXAA may not be the nicest, I found it to be the "smoothest" overall. Or at least the drops aren't as bad and dont last as long.

    I also have my GPU max Buffered frames at 5. Since I'm using a controller, input lag is not a problem. And I also use the -disablepagepagefilecheck cmd line switch.

    I totally agree about the TXAA chap, I'd listed the settings I'd tried a few days back by mistake. I'm using 2xTXAA and HBAO+ Low as it was maxing out my Vram. I'm just gaming on a single 1080p monitor for now so my Vram usage is around 2.6-2.9Gb. The game runs great now and the only freeze/stutter I get is while driving but its only minor and not a problem. I will give the Max buffered frame x 5 a try though as I'd only tried 1-2-3 so far.

    And I also use the -disablepagepagefilecheck cmd line switch
    What does this do?

    Had about 45 minutes at WatchDogs last night and I'm bleeding awful at it. The coppers kept killing me and I can't sneak up on anyone. This game might last me longer than Skyrim!

    Lmao! That was how it was for me for the first few games as I've not played this type of game before apart from a quick try of one of the GTA's. Use the grenade launcher to deal with the police or hide in your car once you have some distance between you and them. Some of the Police chases are brutal and take some work lol.
