I'm also testing 10, same build, running it in VM, but I'm not going to install a bunch of stuff on a temp OS.
Anyway beta tested, and have been using Win 8 since release day. When 8.1 became official, I built my current rig around it. Gaming with it I've had no issues. Just wondering if I'm the only here gaming on Win 8?
I just went ahead and threw 10 on since I kept having to reinstall or repair install 7. I figured what's the difference? If I don't like 10 or it doesn't work out, I'm still in the same boat... Installing or repairing 7 all the time. If I get 2 solid months out of 10 (yes just 60 days), it'll be more than I ever got out of 7.
Ps. My buddy has 8 and has t had any issues with it. If you're into gaming, it goes without saying that you want the latest direct x etc SO ...
It not the latest DX that drew me to 8, just the OS in general. I think it performs just as good if not better than 7.
In fact, keeping with the gaming theme, I'm currently playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is a DX11 title, but I have an AMD card (R9-280X) which uses Mantle so I'm running it in that API and DA:I looks freakin awesome under it. I've not even bothered running the game in DX11. The game simply looks and runs beautifully under Mantle on Windows 8.1
As for Windows 10, I personally can't wait for it to go final as I'm definitely upgrading to it as my main OS when happens.
My old PC can run anything you throw at it, It hasn't undergone in any problems except on the one when I first tried the bootleg, ripped copy of Windows 7 (For comparison purposes). Really, it's just random, even if you can 2 PCs with same configurations, it'll run differently (From what I see)
I am currently revisiting an old classic from my past, S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Pripyat. With a few mods installed of course to boost the textures, performance and add a huge amount of guns... has to be done lol. It has some stuttering and freezing when sprinting about but the awesomeness of this game outweighs the annoyance of the occasion freeze fest lol.
alongside that playing diablo 3 on ps4 (it seems much better than pc version imo but I have played both a ton)
Just played Life is Strange. Anyone else try it?
Lot of potential there if they do it right from here on out
Right now I'm focusing on Dying Light. Love this game so far, still a little buggy at times, but has potential with future updates!
