Well, the drivers did not give me a gain for Battlefield 4, but they did however, increase my performance in my modded skyrim game and that is a bigger benefit to me who plays skyrim constantly.
That's the thing about BETA drivers and AMD states it explicitly on their site, they are provided as is.
I wouldn't say for just 2 games it's a driver for all around performance if they just focused on the mantle part then it wouldn't do anything for me
It's not just mantle it's a better driver package
I got rid of 14.1 it just didn't agree with my set up it took out one of my cards and the only way to get it back was to go back to the last WHQL driver

no i mean mantle is only supported on 2 games. the driver its self has performance increases but mantle is only supported on 2 games.
I find that strange :S I am starting to think it may be caused by a system conflict. Granted things shouldn't be so complicated. I feel confident to say that the issues I've had with my card have all been my own fault.
Trust me it's the drivers the last few sets are really terrible for Xfire users i pretty much gave up it works it works when it doesn't it BS trust me i have had there cards for a while and the drivers are the problemI find that strange :S I am starting to think it may be caused by a system conflict. All the 12.2 though 12.11 worked great soon as 13.1 downhill
Damn, that does suck.. I haven't seen problems for many people with a similar set up as yours. How much are you selling those babies for?
AMD have reported problems with using MANTLE in BF4, in some set-ups
it's also being looked at by DICE, to see if a further update to the game is required
- the official 14.1 BETA ReadMe states:

- Mantle performance for the AMD Radeon™ HD 7000/HD 8000 Series GPUs and AMD Radeon™ R9 280X and R9 270X GPUs will be optimized for BattleField 4™ in future AMD Catalyst™ releases. These products will see limited gains in BattleField 4™ and AMD is currently investigating optimizations for them.
- Multi-GPU support under DirectX® and Mantle will be added to StarSwarm in a future application patch
- Intermittent stuttering or stability issues may occur when utilizing Mantle with AMD CrossFire™ technology in BattleField 4™ - AMD recommends using the DirectX code path when playing Battlefield 4 with multiple GPUs. A future AMD Catalyst release will resolve these issues

StarSwarm is a benchmark available via Steam - you can run comparison tests
to see how well your card handles MANTLE and compare results against DirectX
