    Found the solution... I bet you have a big monitor, as i do. It seems EA doesnt like big monitors. So the solution is to add an Options.ini in the C:\Users\[your login name]\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) Files folder (or C:\Documents and Settings\[your login name]\Application Data\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files if you use XP) and put the following content in that new created file:
    AudioLOD = High
    HasSeenLogoMovies = yes
    IdealStaticGameLOD = High
    Resolution = 1024 768
    StaticGameLOD = High
    TimesInGame = 5

    Please tell me if it works. (i havent reached home to test it, but i`m pretty sure that`s the problem because i have 2 different pc. One that works and one that doesnt work. The one that works has a 1280x1024 maximum resolution capable attached to the comp. The other one who doesnt work has a 1920x1080 res)

    Hey guys had a quick question. I took the adivce that everyone gave for the game to get it running. I had it going fine on my pc but now that I bought a new toshibia laptop it doesnt seem to wanna work. The whole reason i got this was for gamming and school. the specs are pretty good and it runs games like Dragon Age Orgins no problem. My battle for middle earth two game just doesnt seem to wanna work. I have installed it several times and tried the options ini method. nothing seems to work. Im at a real loss. Im sure its not because im running windows 7 on it, since others have gotten it work on it. Any ideas?

    same problem

    Yeah, I am having the same problem. I have done everything with the options.ini like others are saying but I can't get bfme2 to work. It's frustrating because now that we have a good computer I can't play the game I want to.

    Have you tried getting the latest patches for it before playing? I mean, install it, get the latest patch (1.06 at the time of writing), and then try playing it?

    Have you tried different resolution? Check what resolutions your display supports and try replacing it in options.ini
