CAN NOT restore a minimized 3D game on Windows Server 2008R2 SP1
First, I am playing Diablo III and Hearthstone right now, which you are pretty familiar with, I think. LOL
Second, as many of you know, the Windows Server 2008R2 is based on Windows 7.
Actually they share the same kernel. So basically, their behavior should be identical when playing games.
However, the issue is: when I am playing the Diablo III/ Hearthstone on the Windows Server 2008R2,
the game window CAN NOT be restored after it is minimized. T
he only way to restore the game window is to terminate the game process and relaunch the game, which is pretty inconvenient.
FYI, for all tested OSes, I am using the Windows Classic theme, NOT AERO.
To be more specific, I did the following experiments:
1. OS: Windows 7 SP1, I first installed all runtime packages, including:
"Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64) -.exe"
"Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) -.exe"
"Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64).exe"
"Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86).exe"
"Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64).exe"
"Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86).exe"
"Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 update 3 x64.exe"
"Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 update 3 x86.exe"
"DotNet framework 4.5.1".
And then I used Windows update to update the OS to the latest status.
The games run well. Nothing wrong found. (No matter whether WDM is enabled or disabled.)
Again, I formatted the C: driver and then made a fresh installation.
This time, no runtime package nor any update is installed.
I repeated the above steps. And yes, everything is still okay.
2. OS: Windows Server 2008R2, I first installed all runtime packages but without any update.
That is, I disabled the Windows update and installed no updates.
This time, the game run well when the WDM was disabled.
(When the WDM is enabled, it causes annoying flash of window content.)
However, after I installed all updates, the previous symptom reappeared, No matter whether WDM is enabled or disabled.
My computer is Macbook pro mc375. More details can be found at this link:

The graphic driver version I am using is:
Can anyone here give me any help or suggestion? Thank you very much in advanced.
