When playing BF4 Windows 7 pops up

the Performance Option's screen and I have to choose either best performance, best appearance or custom.
It just started doing this last week. I always choose the best appearance option. But still this screen keeps popping up when starting the game.

So my question is how to make my choice remain permanent?

    Windows 7 Prof x64.

    Thanks in advance.

Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Performance Information and Tools Click on Adjust Visual effects in the left pane and set the item as you like, here's mine. Click Apply after you're done.

The changes helped desktop to run much faster. But it still pops up whenever I play Battlefield 4.

Strange, with your specs there shouldn't be any performance bottlenecks. Best Appearance will enable most of the options, try best performance?

I don't have a performance problems. The problem is the 'visual effects' screen popping up.

Actually, we can't "see" what's on your screen when you start the game. You might want to hit the Print Screen key when you launch it again later.

Is your game set to start in fullscreen or windowed?

I'll give that a try Dude. I'll see how it goes today.

I didn't have this problem a week or so ago. Maybe one of the BF4 updates caused it.

When I play BF4 I use 'full screen'.
