Win7 with Bkack Shark and IL-2

    Update.
I moved this thread here to the gaming section, I mistakenly put it in the software section..

Windows 7 RC 32 with Black Shark is not working as well as it should.
    DCS - Digital Combat Simulator

The maintenance command to rearm and refuel did not work when I tried them in Win7. When I tried those commands, there was no repsonse at all. And there were no changes. Also, sometimes when launching Black Shark, in muliplayer, it gave me a black screen. I did not seem to have any graphics problems in single player mode. Of course that could be another issue. But the unable to use maintanance commands are defintely a huge problem. Anyone else have these issues?

Also Team Speak sometimes gives me issues. Like a sound driver gets messed up and Team Speak freezes.
    TeamSpeak - Welcome to TeamSpeak

Some of these issues could be because the developers have not optimized the code yet for Windows 7. I don't know. But there are enough little problems that I would not soley use Win7 for a computer if I only had one computer or only one operating system.

I use WinXP. But we also have 2 laptops in my home with Windows Vista on them.

I thought all was well with Windows 7 and Black Shark RC x32. I have the latest version with updates. I was able to host and join BS. Now, when I try to join a server, Whenh I click to select a Helo, the screen goes black. I can hear the sound of the helo when it goes to that screen, and move my mouse, but the screen is black.

I do not remember doing anything to the install to mess it up. it was working fine. I can join the servers in my WinXP install.

Current video driver is ATI Radeon Catalyst 9.6. I use dcsMax to launch it in duo2core.

Update with the Sapphire Radeon HD3870 Sapphire sent as a replacement for my Radeon 2900 Pro PCI-e 512mb.

Win7 info included with Black Shark and Win7.

the Radeon 2900 Pro developed a problem when I updated the Cat driver from 9.7RC3 to 9.7 Cat final. It no longer showed as two Display adapters in WinXP device manager.

In Black Shark the ATI Sapphire Radeon HD3870 PCI-e will only work in low graphics settings in game. My Radeon 2900 Pro PCI-e 512 MB ran fine on Medium grphic settings in game.

It still only shows one adapter in the device manager in WinXP.
Also, in Win7 the Sapphire Radeon HD3870 512MB PCI-e in Bkack Shark crashes the computer. MY Radeon 2900 Pro had no problems.

Another game that does not work with Windows 7

I guess that Microsoft was so busy fixing all the issues with basic functionality, drivers, and business applications, they forgot to address gamers.

I have Windows 7 64bit with a Nvidia 9800 GTX video card with an Intel E8400 CPU.

The install goes on without any trouble. Starting the game starts with a blank white screen. You can hear the sound, but that is all that happans. I've tried the Compatability mode, but this has not worked. It seems that the 1.0.1c patch does not work either.

I really love this game and I would love to play it again.

If any of you are aware as to how to make it run under Windows 7, please post the solition on this forum.
