    Counter-Strike 1.6 Massive FPS Drop

The tittle says everything. I face a massive fps drop when playing Counter-Strike 5on5, and it's very, very annoying. I got Nvidia 9800GT 1gb video car, 4gb of rams, and 3.4GHz dual core Intel processor, It should work fine etc.
It began when I installed Windows 7, previously I had Windows XP and everything was alright.
Searched for a solution for a week now, and still don't know what to do. Any suggestions ?

Have you tried running the game in compatibility mode for XP SP3, also running as 'Administrator"?

If it only happens in this one game, it 'must' be a driver compatibility issue, or possibly a cfg file got corrupt. Because it's simple, reinstall the game, or if you're running through Steam, and also bought it through Steam, you can simply verify the game files, rather than reinstalling the game, this is MUCH better.

To do so: In Steam, right click on Counter Strike 1.6, select properties. Select the 'Local Files' tab, then click 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache'. It will take a few minutes, and if any of the game files are corrupt it will re-download them.
^^^^ This is the cause of 99% of all game issues using Source, which is why Valve implemented this Cloud based ability.

Disable aero. As it may or may not be known, the older nvidia cards suck at aero ( 9000 series and lower). My friend has to disable aero on his 9400 and he gets much better frames, but thats on CSS. CSS is more powerful than 1.6, so I would make the assumption it should help 1.6 too.
