How to noticeably smooth your gameplay on windows 7

Download gameBooster. What it does is free up your RAM and processes and services to enhance gameplay. There is no overclocking needed. Simply install and click switch to gaming mode! This is also 100% win7 compatible.

Have not heard of this application.

So, what good about it? and What is bad about it?

Since it is free, did you have to agree to install any toolbars or stuff like that?

Game Booster 1.22 is free & it's developed by IOBit, the people behind 'Advanced SystemCare'.
(FYI don't personally use Advanced SystemCare)

It temporarily disables unneeded services, clears RAM buffer, defrags your game files if you want it to & when it says 'intensifies cpu for maximum game performance' it probably increases the CPU priority or something.
It doesn't change registry or system settings, or overclock any hardware.

I didn't really notice any difference in speed when I tested it out on games, maybe a placebo effect or two.
You can use Windows while it runs, and it obviously feels a bit snappier because it disables Themes / Aero & probably a bunch of other stuff.
Unless you have an aging system with low-end specs, you probably won't benefit too much from this program.

It seems to be the most ad-free, light-weight program of its kind...
Maybe if I have time one day I'll do a benchmark on load times or FPS on a game or two. There doesn't seem to be any out there.

It's harmless. All it does is stop services or programs you don't need while gaming. Actually you could do that yourself (without this program), but the guy who wrote that program wanted to make it easier.

Yes that is what it does. But if you don't have a high power gpu (like Me) then this is good for more fps. I have been using this program for a few months now and I have to say it is very easy. This really isn't needed for people with 9800 gts or alienware PC's

Yes. but this program is free. It does what it was designed to do. Nothing more, nothing less.
