I've been reading all the way to page 12 but I haven't found anybody experiencing the same problem as me, and here I am...
you should be able to see my system specs, if it helps I can add that my hda has two partition (60Gb OS only + 190 for applications) and the same goes for my hdb (500Gb for games + 500Gb for anything else)
no software firewall, my anti virus is avast! free
all the latest drivers all installed, including nVidia 191.07 WHQL
and here is what I'm experiencing...
-Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising
: I can connect to game servers, but it takes a long time to get the player list; once logged in, it looks like I'm stuck and I see my team mates sliding instead of walking (they told me they could see me moving and shooting). works perfectly in single player mode.
-Team fortress 2
: I can connect to game servers and the ping shown is what it should be, but once I log into the game I'm able to see a bunch of frames every couple of minutes
: the ping displayed near the game servers looks fine but once I'm in, I'm getting frequent connection error messages, sometimes the game server just kicks me out because of my high latency
: can't even log in, I just keep getting a connection error
: no problem at all, works perfectly and my ping is pretty good
: I've been playing using Windows 7 from June to mid September and I've never had a single connection problem
I've been monitoring my network performance while trying to play any of these games and everything besides the games seems to be working as it should (my ping on Ventrilo is constant at 64, normal browsing looks ok)
any help will be highly appreciated and whoever solves my problem will get a free slice of pizza!
