    Diablo 2 Not working?

I have a Diablo 2 folder with all the necessary files from the OS on my Desktop. I just installed Windows 7 on my laptop to check it out. So far I am not impressed. First MagicDisk doesn't work. Then I install PowerISO and it works to a certain extent. I do not have my Diablo CD's but I have their ISO's. However my cd drive on my desktop doesn't work so I transfered all my ISO's over to the laptop with Windows 7 and I try to use the Windows ISO burner but it then tells me that they are not valid ISO's. I try to use powerISO and it also does not work. My patience is starting to run out and I am almost ready to put XP on it... Maybe you guys can help me.

Should a folder with all the necessary D2 files work? I set both the Game.exe and Diablo.exe compatability to Service Pack 2 and Run As An Administrator. But now when I click the Diablo 2 shortcut it acts as if it is loading up but it just does nothing but under processes Game.exe is there.

Now why is Windows ISO burner telling me my files are not correct as when I mount them with PowerISO it loads perfectly.

    Help please? Lol.

EDIT: I got the ISO's burned to a CD. When inserted into dads laptop (XP) they are read fine but they will not be read by Seven. I am lost. I want to get this to work really badly cause I actually like it. When I click the CD drive with the D2 Cd inserted it just sits there and acts as if it is trying to load...

it might not be a 7 problem. Try downloading DemonTools Lite and see if that can mount and play your isos.
    Demon Tools

Demontools, well this version is meant for playing your backed up games, if it doesnt work you can try putting on one of the emulation's, which may allow you to play a disk that is or should be protected.

you could also just get real simple about it all and burn your isos onto cds and try to install from there, have to remember this is BETA not a full fledged ready to go os, if you use beta then your expected to have to deal with problems like this rather then saying " I am almost ready to put XP on it "

Just came across this problem as well, installed D2 and tried running it in XP SP2 Compatibility mode and Game.exe showed up under processes but nothing else seemed to be happening. Fortunately I noticed an odd glitch of sorts going on at the top left corner of my desktop, there was a small black rectangle (the size of a small letter) with various characters being displayed in it one after the other. I assumed that windows was in fact doing something and not just playing with itself and decided to wait. After about 3-4 minutes the game loaded and I can play it as normal. Hope you either figured this out yourself or are still checking this thread. Would hate for anyone to be denied their Diablo fix
PS I joined just to reply to this thread so somebody had better find this information useful!

You have to change the Graphic-Driver to Direct3D with the D2VidTst.exe

Well, i have nothing against demontools, but the fact that it doesnt work under windows 7 is well known. But i prefer PowerIso anyway since it can work with .daa

help with diablo 2 please :(

i recently bought a laptop (windows 7 starter OS), i know it sucks..when i installed diablo 2, i set the compatibility to XP SP2, run in 256 colors and run as admin..but when i try to open it, a message box would appear saying "This program has known compatibility issues..."

there are options; however, below it [Check for solutions online] [run program] [cancel]
when i try to run the program, another message box would appear saying "Diablo 2 has stopped working..."
when i try to check for solutions online another message box would appear saying "there are no solutions." WTH?! :|

    can somebody please help me?
