Help: Age of Conquerors multiplayer in offline LAN ???

    Dear friends,
I'm a fan of Age of empires, me and my friends wants to play age of conquerors in offline LAN and we are using windows 7 and 8. The issue is that we can't join the game with each other. Is there any way we can have this game in multiplayer in "OFFLINE LAN"

    Thanks in Advance........

I wonder if you need IPX/SPX protocol (older dudes will remember) installed for that one.

Check Local LAN fails "Unable to join game." - PC gaming - PC Gaming see last 2 posts especially

search terms was: ipx spx age of conquerors

    Problem is Win7 doesn't support IPX/SPX.
Another post from some other link:

Hi. We are using IPX Wrapper. Copy to game directory and run registry compatible key. Then run ipxconfig.exe and select network card. It is working we are playing Red Alert 2 :)

Hey, glad it is working for you. Why it isn't working for Your friend, I have no idea.

    From its website:
If you have any problems or encounter a bug, please email me with a description of the issue and include ipxwrapper.log which should be in the same directory as the ipxwrapper DLLs.
