Good Offline RPGs that work on Win7

    Hey all =)

I've installed Windows 7 a couple days ago and so far i love it, but atm, what concerns me are games :P

What good offline RPG games(I'm sick of MMORPGs) work 100% on Win7?

    Many Thanks =)

I can personally recommend the following:

    • Fallout 3 + All of its DLC
    • Oblivion + Xpacs
    • Fable: TLC
    • Morrowind (Older game but far superior than Oblivion IMO)
    • Mass Effect

I have heard good things about Dragon's Age: Origins but I personally have not tried it. Mass Effect 2 is supposedly coming out in the next few months, I would keep an eye out for this.

Oh and yes these work on Windows 7, at least on my computer.

If you like Diablo I would recommend Torchlight. It's only $20 on Steam.

Try Borderlands! It's a combo of FPS and RPG... really cool.

Already played Oblivion but I never finished it since I formatted the computer, might give it a go again :P
Already played and beated Fable(Evil ftw)
I've been wanting to try Morrowind, but since it was a previous version of Oblivion I always thought it would be somewhat inferior, I'll give it a go
Both Mass Effect and the Fallouts are Third Person Shooters, right?
Dragon Age looks like a great game from Google Images, I'll probably give this one a go first :P

Get Dragon Age: Origins which is a new offline RPG which was rated 9.5 by GameSpot. I just started playing it, but judging from the reviews I read, it is a great game.

Mass Effect is one of those types of games that can't decide WHAT it is. But it's mostly cutscenes with just a little bit of a game thrown in. I have not played it, though. What I've heard about it unimpresses me, and Sonic Chronicles was such a piece of s*** that I've decided I'll bust a hand before I play another Bioware title.

Ys: Oath In Felghana plays fine with the english patch applied.

Most of the good offline RPGs have been mentioned, but I've been playing one recently called Mount&Blade. It's like Oblivion meets Medieval: Total War. It can be a bit slow if you play it properly (mods and the money/xp cheats to help you along can speed things up), but the battles are great. By default, the max battle size is 100 so 50v50 battles by default that you actually take part in and fight along side your party, or you can get a mod where you can set battle size up. I'm running it with a battle size of 150 vs 150, which is great fun.

Well i'm in the process of loading up some new game I got today - Borderlands and Dragon Age: Origins. Both games appear to be working thus far, so...

I've also got Fallout 3 (Game of the year) edition loaded and it runs fine for me under Windows 7... dispite all the complaints elsewhere.
