Kids games - Are Pokki and Ipadian any good?

After a failed Windows 10 upgrade (incompatible and no driver support), I am wondering if there is a way to have more games on our 7 year olds 10" laptop. He has 3 angry birds games, Supertux for Windows and Supertux Kart for Windows plus shortcuts to online kids games on suitable websites, but he's kind of got jaded with them now and sees all these apps on ipads and so on (we haven't got an ipad but school has!). I can't seem to find many downloadable kids games for Windows 7 and games on dvd seem to have disappeared these days. So I just wondered if anyone has used Pokki and if it is safe to use or any good? Or any other game suggestions for an almost 8 year-old.

I would say the jumpstart series but you might have issue running them on 7x64, and you could spend what you would spend on a game on this tablet from amazon and then they can download all the free games they can find. Just stress to your kids what an in app purchase is and to NOT do it, also they have amazon underground now that lets you play payed apps for free since it has a new pay model for devs apparently (pays them evry 3 seconds for an add shown or something). 5 reasons to buy Amazon's $50 tablet -- and one not to - CNET The CPU is decent, the screen is low resolution but will your kid care probably not. I would stay away from pokki as it is basically bloat and that's it. EDIT: what laptop model?

It's a basic model - a netbook basically. Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit Atom N2600 Processor. It runs the current games quite well, surprisingly! Better than my i3 laptop. It has an SSD in it which might be why. Yes I guess that's the thing - you could buy a cheap tablet and have a load for free. I'm just wary of all the advertising and lack of parental controls. We have Norton family and a separate Windows account at present which is good. He can only access certain 'allowed' sites on the internet that way. So Pokki no good. I'm assuming Ipadian is also no good? Will check out Jumpstart. Seem similar to some of the stuff on his current netbook. We have Nessy Games and Nessy Fingers. He avoids anything educational lol! I guess if we want games with minions and Sonic the hedgehog we'll have to get some kind of tablet then.
