    Crysis problem help =(

When ever I go to play Crysis the game freezes and when I bring up the Windows Task Manager and look at the Applications the only one not responding is "Crysis DX10 - Mar 11 2008". Now I have no problems running Crysis Wars and Crysis Warhead, just the first one. I'm running Win7 Home Premium 64-Bit.

Hi and welcome to seven forums

One way you can check to see what is going on is by going to the event viewer. Type event vwr in search>windows log>application tab. Look for errors (red in left hand column) and see if there are errors relating to app hang, app crash, etc. If you find them (and you will) check which ones are reltaed to the game. Noe the event ID and source code and let us know what they are

    Thanks in advance

You will need the patches for the original Crysis to run correctly. You need the 1.2 and the 1.2.1 patches. You also need to run Crysis from the Windows game panel first time, after that you can use the application link from the Crysis files, I like the bin 64 application the best.

    Heres what the it says

Faulting application name: crysis.exe, version: 1.1.1.6156, time stamp: 0x47d6d167
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bdbdf
    Exception code: 0x0000087a

Now this time I had no problem loading it, this happened while I was playing it.

I downloaded it from Steam so it's fully updated.

What are your GPU temps at when the game freezes up?

Well this is kinda of weird... I've just been playing it for almost 4 hours and didn't have a single problem this time. The GPU's on my video card were running at about 45-49 with the fan at 85%

I'm kind of interested as I am getting the same error... (installed via Steam as well). Apart from mine crashes and so far I haven't got it to work yet. Error is:

Faulting application name: crysis.exe, version: 1.1.1.6156, time stamp: 0x47d6d167
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bdbdf
    Exception code: 0x0000087a
    Fault offset: 0x0000b727
    Faulting process id: 0xf6c
    Faulting application start time: 0x01ca657d8086c8d5
Faulting application path: c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\crysis\bin32\crysis.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\syswow64\KERNELBASE.dll
    Report Id: bb8dd06a-d171-11de-bda0-0002761c50cd

How did you record/track your GPU temp and fan speed... perhaps I can check that as well.

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt
