3D games work sometimes, and then don't

its so odd. some days it will work perfect, then other days i will go to play a game (mostly need for speed world, 1nsane, or viper racing) and i will get an error saying "No Direct X found" (need for speed world) or "No 3D rendering application found" (1nsane) OR even more "Your graphics card does not support 3D graphics" (viper racing). i have direct x 9c and it works fine. what i don't understand is if i just restart my laptop, it will work again. any ideas? i don't have direct x 11 because some of my games wont run with it, i don't know why. 9c works for everything.

try updating your directx regardless of what version you have with this Download DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Official Microsoft Download Center

Maybe uninstalling your graphics card from device manager rebooting then reinstalling the driver will help.
