Ok, that's what I thought. Now, another question: How hard would it be to buy a new CPU and put it into my computer? Apparently it's pretty tough, but still wasn't sure.
Replacing a CPU with one of the same socket type (has to be the same) is fairly straight forward. Take out the old one, put in the new one and lock the heatsink onto it. This is assuming ofcourse that there is thermal paste on the new CPU already (last cpu i bought already had thermal paste on it).

As your using a P4, your mobo can only support single core processors so you wont be able to really upgrade.... You would need to buy a new mobo, by doing that you need a new CPU (as the socket type on the new mobo will be different to the P4 socket type) and while your at it may aswell chuck in some new ram. In the end you pretty much have a new computer.

And for a new system you can't beat a quad-core i5 750 if you don't want to spend $$$ too much.

If you are looking to upgrade on the cheap than you can beat an i5 750 if you go the AMD route

    Hi!
I have Windows 7 too, and I've installed Assassin's Creed on my computer. And it lags! Once at start-up, when the Ubisoft logo appears, then at playing every time I kill someone(not assassinate). I tried to bring all the graphic settings to minimum, but it does the same. Only when i kill someone. Last year on the same computer, but with windows vista, it was installed and ran fine. The same game, on the same computer, only other os. I have tried also to set the compatibility to vista or xp, and it does the same. Please help.
    My specs :
    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4600, 2.40GHz
    RAM: 2GB
    System type: 32-bit
Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT, 512 MB

Where'd you get that info from?

    BTW....
