Haha! I finished it yesterday actually, took me about 10 hours, I loved it and think it's a great game, but there's room for a lot of improvements. What disappointed me the most is there's no free roam mode at the end of it. The first Mafia game had a free roam game mode separate to the story mode, so there's no reason why Mafia 2 couldn't have it, though I think there's a very good chance they'll add it as loads of people are annoyed about it too.
I'm also disappointed about how much they took out of the game. It figures because apparently there was suppost to be around 18 hours of gameplay, and everyone's not getting more than 10 hours out of it. There is going to be quite a few sets of DLC that add new stories in to the city.
Personally I prefer Mafia 1, though Mafia 2 is a good game in its own way, and has/had a lot of potential to be a lot better. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Professional x64 Service Pack 1 CPU Intel Core i7 920 3.2GHz Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth x58 Memory 6GB XMS3 Corsair 1333MHz Graphics Card Zotac Nvidia Geforce GTX470 Sound Card ASUS Xonar DX/XD 7.1 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 24" S2409W + Dell 20" E207WFP Screen Resolution 1920x1080 + 1680x1050 Keyboard Logitech G11 Keyboard Mouse Logitech G5 Laser Mouse (2007 edition) PSU Corsair HX850 modular Case Coolermaster 690II Advanced Nvidia Edition Cooling Corsair H60 Hard Drives 1x 120GB OCZ Vertex 2E, 1x 750GB Western Digital Caviar Black, 1x 1TB Western Digital Caviar Green Internet Speed 16Mbps Other Info LG Blu-Ray player |

That’s the negative side of DCLs as it seems like they intentionally did this so they could make more money through DLC releases. I hope we don't get to a point where companies start shipping shorter games at regular price, then nickel and dime us to death with DLCs just to get a complete story. I’m all for DLCs done right…. Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2, and even Fallout 3. These games had a good amount of playtime. On the other hand, DLCs done wrong… Bioshock 2 Incomplete babbling mess! I have been playing quite a lot of racing games lately as i am trying to learn how to use the Logitech G27, Richard Burns Rally, Dirt, Grid, Xpand Rally and Toca 3.
But i have just fallen in love with my latest addition - Mafia 2.
If you hav'nt played it or got it... Then what on earth are doing, get playing. The graphics are immense and the story line is addictive.

Lucky It's a good game, but I wouldn't say it's addictive. Especially compared to Mafia 1. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Professional x64 Service Pack 1 CPU Intel Core i7 920 3.2GHz Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth x58 Memory 6GB XMS3 Corsair 1333MHz Graphics Card Zotac Nvidia Geforce GTX470 Sound Card ASUS Xonar DX/XD 7.1 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 24" S2409W + Dell 20" E207WFP Screen Resolution 1920x1080 + 1680x1050 Keyboard Logitech G11 Keyboard Mouse Logitech G5 Laser Mouse (2007 edition) PSU Corsair HX850 modular Case Coolermaster 690II Advanced Nvidia Edition Cooling Corsair H60 Hard Drives 1x 120GB OCZ Vertex 2E, 1x 750GB Western Digital Caviar Black, 1x 1TB Western Digital Caviar Green Internet Speed 16Mbps Other Info LG Blu-Ray player |
