There was a HUGE thread over at Rage3d about it, and it was like 50/50 for those who liked it against those who hated it because of bugs.
Anyways when I finish Dragon Age I'll give Metro a try.
Oh yeah, S.O.C was a nightmare to begin with bug wise. It improved a fair bit with the later patches. I persevered because it was different and had a lot of atmosphere - but it had to keep getting shelved until it was patched.
Clear Sky fared a little better out of the box, but that too was still damn buggy.
Call of Pripyat - I don't know tbh. I probably played it for about an hour or so and haven't touched it since. It's one of those 'maybe get around to it one day' games.
Metro is a hell of a lot more polished.

It wouldn't be too bad
if they sold the game at half price, because they are essentially selling a half a game. But to charge full price and then make you pay extra for what is already there is just gouging.
