What Games Are You Playing?

Those are probably the best 2.

hmmm.....

Return to Ostagar was pretty good. Probably best for a Origins playthrough though, although you can use the armor and weapons you get in Awakening. (Calins and Duncans)

Witch Hunt is also pretty good, as it ties up loose ends with Morrigan, depending on the choices your character made.

Both are pretty short, about an Hour and a half, but if I was to choose 1 of the 2, it would probably be Witch Hunt.
(But mostly for the Story aspect of things)
It can be done before, or after Awakening.

I hear Lelanas Song is decent if you want to know her story before joing up with you. Never played it though.

Based on what you suggest, I'll hold off on any more DLC's untill I decide to do another run through of DA:O.

In the meantime I'll just get Awakening, than wait for DA 2

Thanks, I'm good.

borderlands was pretty fun role-playing shooter, especially if you like guns and stats.

there's lots of guns, and lots of stats! i suppose the gameplay is a bit like far-cry 2 where you spend a lot of time driving around performing missions for people, earning money and experience points which allowed you to level up.

the graphics are cool and cartoony - the only problem is it's one of those ut3 engine games without anti-aliasing options - with my ati 4890, i could force it on through other means, but suffered a severe drop in frame-rate.

the music is cool too.

it's a long game (maybe a bit too long as it can get repetitive after a while) - it'll keep you busy for a while, plus you can choose from four characters/classes when you start - i've only played it with the assault soldier.

i haven't tried any of the dlc.

off the top of my head, i would give it 7.5/10

Borderlands though it has a single player mode it's really meant to be played co-op mode. With that said, I've only played it in single player mode (don't get into online, co-op play) and rather enjoyed it. Love the artwork, and the music is great. There's also some pretty good DLC's for it.

However, the game tends to get easy as you level up and tends to get repetitive after awhile. Again, the game was really designed for co-op play so single level play tends to be easi(er).

I would suggest either Singularity (which I played) or Metro 2033 (which which I'm looking to get)

My two cents.

So I decided to download Battlefield Heroes, you know, just for the lulz, and I gotta say.... It has come a LOOOOONG way since I took part of the Beta earlier this year.

I forgot how F'ing hilarious it was. Specially when playing with friends.

Definitely worth a look. Awesome cartoon shooter.

I bounce between quite a few depending my mood, but I'd have to say mainly Dragon Age :Origins at the moment.

I would play COD MW2 more but I'm one of the unlucky ones that get hard freezes all the time. It's far worse on Seven than it is on Vista too. It's the only game that it happens to as well.
Have you tried using it with Gamebooster from 10bit

So, Gamebooster is true blue & really holds water? Interesting.

Personally, I find games like Battlefield/COD MW2/Dragon AOO/Etc., or basically the large file games these days, take a lot of learning before gaming.

I've found that I could just as easily learn a program or study-up on something without the frustration of feeling like an idiot.

Then again, I'm 29 and am TOTALLY Super Nintendo generation.

At best, I still play Wolfenstein Enemy Territory in re: 1st Person Shooters, but live for what most call "Casual Games," just match-3's, hidden object games, word games, primarily stuff like chess, stress buster-type stuff, etc.

I simply haven't found my hook.

What would you guys recommend to someone like me who isn't with all that buying-pedals-gaming-mice-hardware-etc.? ...someone who just wants a great game where you get your money's worth?

I know that's kind of a tall drink of water! :-)

All ideas welcome!
Erik
