Man I really like Halo. How's it playing on your Windows 7 x64-bit? Did you have to do tweaks to get it to run? Halo 2 won't run under 7 for some reason, at least for me. Haven't tried Halo though.

I'm telling you if you can look past the game play it's a good game with a great story. Once I got used to the style of play I loved it.

Didn't have to tweak it at all to get it to run properly (surprisingly enough). If I get some free time I will install Halo 2 and let you know if that works.

It is a PITA if you're not use to it. As a FPS gamer I hated it and nearly gave up myself - Lost with Dragon Age: Origins - Rage3D Discussion Area

Don't you love it when that happens, i didn't have to do any tweaks with my halo 1 install either, it was great!

anyone know of galaga on the PC? the arcade one, not the one remade for the game boy. (even thought they're kinda the same)

lol yes! thats a classic. My manager constantly asks me if i am playing it, because it is one of only five PC games he can name. It has been a while since i have played it though.

One the Pc front, I just picked up Dead Money for Fallout NV so Ive been trollin the Mohave too.

Actually Valve fans are eagerly awaiting Half-Life 3/EP 3. Unless Portal 2 is being bundled with Half-Life 3 - they can call it "Orange Box 2" I won't be getting it.

The game play is not my kind of thing- it is lovely tho. Most pretty game world etc I have seen yet. I was checking out the comments at youtube- Liked the one post and agree. See how beautiful and great games can be if made only for pc- or something like that.

It is sad other games makers do not understand that..

Just finished Batman Arkham Asylum - probably the best game I have ever played (after Elder Scrolls Oblivion)!!

Playing Deus Ex....

Currently playing Deus Ex – GOTY Edition (I have to retail boxed (disk) version).

Anyway I got it installed and running under Windows 7 64-bit (See my system specs) without any "Windows" tweaks. I did however have to download a Direct3D renderer as the game is horrid without an updated one. This one (D3D10) allows you to render the game in DX10 with a capable DX10 card

Download the file and follow the instructions as outlined under the "Installation and Settings section"

One thing I want to clarify about the install instructions - First: when you extract the files you will get renderers for five games (Unreal, UT, Rune, Rune 100, and Deus Ex) you obviously want Deus Ex.

Please pay particuliar attention to this note....

Note that the files (d3d10drv.dll, etc) and the 'd3d10drv' subdirectory must be directly in the system directory; make sure not to accidentally keep them in the folder they came in in the zip (e.g. 'deusex' or 'unreal_226_gold').

All you do is cut the files (and "d3d10drv" folder) out of the "Deus Ex" sub-folder and place them directly in the "System" folder as is. DO NOT remove the files out of the "d3d10drv" folder or the game won't start and you'll get a missing files error

Now follow the setup instructions to use the renderer.

For those looking for the D3D9 renderer it can be found here - An enhanced OpenGL renderer for Unreal Tournament

Two important things.... Under Advanced Settings (Start game, hit the 't' key, remove the "say" text, type "preferences" (without quotes) and hit enter) If you do nothing else change these settings....

Under Rendering click the + button and find Direct3D 10 Support. Find.....

FPS limit - This prevents the games from running too fast! Make sure you set this to 100 or less! Or you will feel like you're playing the game on hyper speed x 10. I have mine set to 60. I also have V-Sync enabled to keep from getting tearing issues.

Under Audio click the + button and look for Latency and set it to either 40 or 60 if you're experiencing sound issues. I have mine set to 60.

That's it. Here's some of my Advanced settings......

Edit you can avoid that whole advanced settings thing by using the new Deus Ex exe....

Yesterday i decided to fire up ye old Steam, and run though Half Life 2 again. Have to say i am enjoying it very much, I did play through it quite a lot a few years ago and thought it might get a bit stale playing though it again. Thankfully that is not the case!

I tried testing hl2 epi2 on my new system here a few months ago- Playing a few games so I deleted it. I need extra space.. Did look and run sweet tho and on my larger more high res monitor. I do plan to play hl2 and epis again- just I am playing other games. Love my hl2 stuff. I have not played it as much as some of my other games but not because I do not like it or anything- just like that sometimes maybe..

That is something i have noticed as well, for an older game it still does look pretty good (at least i think so) i have no complaints about it really. I dont think anyone has the time to play all the games they want to really.. a sad fact of life

Agree- 3 more heads and 6 more arms might help- might need 5 more asses tho- ha ha. South park 5 or 6 ass monkey- so funny..

I really want to install all my games test them set them up- see that they work. I think most are on the lists here. I think I am good. I will get to them all again when I can. Might even get some new games soon- happy happy.

This is my wish list.. no real order. Maybe some newer games first.. These are some I do not have and think I will like. Not sure my cod and uo will work in 64bit. I will check some other time- but will have them all if get these or for pc anyway.. Do not really like 3rd view but liked dead space so I will try a few more. Hated mass effect slow buggy boring- dancers was not bad maybe ha ha. Stopped playing maybe 1/3 through I guess. Some of these games have more in the series these are all I think I would like to have tho..>
